Additional class information:

14th Century Textiles in England and France - Fibers, Fabrics and Dyes (TEX07B01)

    2 hours

    This class will familiarize the student with the fibers, fabrics and dyes in common use during the 14th century in England and France.  The class will also provide students with information regarding modern world availability of fabrics, as well as appropriate modern substitutions for medieval fibers and fabrics.

 

Protocol and Precedence (HER07A01)

    2 hours

    This course provides and introduction to courtesy and etiquette as well as a brief outline of the different titles and awards within the SCA, how to address them, how they rank, and how to achieve them.

 

Research Basics (RUGA accreditation pending) 

    1 hour

    This class will familiarize the student with the process of researching a project.  The student will also learn how to analyze sources.

 

Documentation Basics (RUGA accreditation pending)

    1 hour

    This class will familiarize the student with the process of documenting a project, and some ways to organize that information for presentation at A&S competitions.  The student will also learn the specific documentation requirements for Gleann Abhann Kingdom A&S.

Basic Calligraphy
1 hour
Hands on class in which materials are discussed, instructions given, period examples are shown, and students get to writing in various handwriting styles used in the period.
